Mrs. Nihmey's class is now starting a Social Studies unit on Communities in Canada from 1780 - 1850. The main focus of this unit will be to learn about how First Nations tribes and early settler communities met their needs for survival during this period. Our specific goals are linked to the right of this post. We will also soon begin our third French unit, "Je joue en hiver". In this unit, based on the activities we participate in during winter, we will review the agreement of partitive articles (du, de la, de l', des) and nouns, the present tense of er verbs, and possessive adjectives (mon, ma, mes, ton, ta, tes, son, sa, ses). We will also start learning about the present tense of the frequently used verb faire, starting questions with quel / quelle and the forming of negative sentences using ne...pas. The links to the left of this post will help your child practice these grammar points at home.
